The Marina

Welcome to Pelican Point Yacht Club on Smith Mountain Lake, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Ralph and Ginny Zahn purchased Pelican Point in 1974. Now, in it’s second generation of management by their daughter Marcie Zahn, Pelican Point celebrates over 40 years serving Smith Mountain Lake patrons. Marcie and the entire Pelican Point Yacht Club staff take pride in offering quality service.

The marina has 134 deep-water slips, with dockside water and 30/50/60 AMP electrical service for both power and sail.

Yacht club members enjoy a waterfront-resort environment. The marina covers 18 acres of park-like green space with over one-half mile of shoreline.

Amenities include a 3,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, swimming pool, clean-as-a-whistle bath house, tennis, shuffleboard, cornhole, horseshoe pit, badminton, volleyball, on-land boat and trailer storage, picnic areas, boat ramp, and FREE PUMPOUT facility for slip customers.

Pelican Point is home to the Blackwater Yacht Racing Association.
